About the Role
Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced GIS Operation Manager to oversee GIS operational activities, service delivery, system architecture, integration requirements, and technical implementation within a large-scale Oil &
Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day GIS operations, service requests, operational timelines, and delivery activities.
Manage GIS operational activities and ensure effective coordination across GIS teams and stakeholders.
Oversee GIS system architecture, solution design, and technical implementation requirements.
Translate project requirements into operational solutions, including front-end design and system integration requirements.
Evaluate GIS technologies and recommend suitable solutions based on operational and technical requirements.
Develop and oversee implementation approaches, technical standards, and QA/QC guidelines for GIS operations.
Coordinate GIS system interfaces and integration requirements with upstream, downstream, and corporate applications.
Manage resources, priorities, risks, and operational issues to ensure effective GIS service delivery.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to GIS personnel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Information Technology, Geo-Information, Surveying, Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Geoscience, Geophysics, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 15 years of cumulative GIS experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing day-to-day GIS operations for a GIS department/team of at least 5 personnel.
Candidates must indicate team size and reporting line in their CV.
Minimum 3 evidenced GIS projects managed end-to-end, with details including project name, client, contract value or team size, project duration, and involvement in planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS system architecture, solution design, or GIS technology evaluation.
Minimum *5 years of cumulative Oil &
