GIS Project Manager

Position For a major GIS (Geographic Information System) project, we are seeking a Project Manager with proven GIS experience to join a dedicated team responsible for managing and coordinating technological projects. Your Role The successful candidate will be involved in managing and coordinating project activities, liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, and contributing to the smooth progression of project deliverables. Specific responsibilities include: Managing and coordinating GIS-related projects; Defining and monitoring project activities, milestones, timelines, and deliverables; Coordinating various roles involved in the project; Liaising with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders; Gathering and analyzing client requirements; Monitoring project progress and managing potential issues; Supporting problem identification and solution definition; Coordinating supplier activities and tracking their progress; Facilitating communication between technical teams, clients, and stakeholders; Preparing progress reports and Status Assessment Letters (SAL); Supporting project planning and activity organization. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in Project Management or Project Coordination roles; Prior experience in the GIS domain; Solid understanding of core GIS concepts and tools; Strong ability to interact with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders; Excellent problem-solving and issue management skills; Strong organizational and prioritization skills; Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Professional demeanor and ability to engage with diverse audiences; Proactivity and teamwork orientation; Good command of English. Additional desirable attributes include autonomy in task management, coordination skills, a results-driven mindset, and a proactive approach to handling project challenges. Location Milan / Hybrid work model.
