GIS Project Manager

Overview We are looking for an experienced GIS Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale geospatial and infrastructure projects in Visakhapatnam, India. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GIS, road data management, and team leadership, handling end-to-end project execution, ensuring quality delivery, and managing a team of 20–30 members. Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India Experience: 5+ years (preferred) Role: Full-time Team Size: Managing 20–30 GIS professionals Key Responsibilities Handle large datasets including road attributes, spatial data, and mapping workflows. Ensure data accuracy and consistency through rigorous QA/QC processes. Manage, guide, and mentor a team of 20–30 GIS professionals. Train team members on project workflows, quality standards, and productivity benchmarks. Coordinate directly with clients and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Required Skills & Experience GIS & Road Infrastructure: Strong experience in GIS and road-related infrastructure projects. Software Expertise: Hands-on expertise in QGIS (Mandatory). Data Management: In-depth understanding of spatial data, digitization, and attribute data management. Leadership & Coordination: Proven track record in project coordination, client interaction, and team leadership. Mentorship: Ability to train, onboard, and mentor GIS technicians and specialists. Preferred Qualifications Experience in road and asset mapping projects. Knowledge of aerial imagery and satellite data interpretation.
