GIS & Remote Sensing Specialist

Thryve.Earth develops high-integrity nature-based solutions (NbS) carbon projects in South and Southeast Asia. They seek a GIS & Remote Sensing Specialist in Bangalore to drive GIS/RS R&D for digital MRV across NbS projects. Responsibilities: dMRV & GIS R&D: develop approaches for measuring trees, canopy and carbon; combine drone and satellite datasets for monitoring. Computer vision & remote sensing: tree/crown detection, counting, segmentation; calibrate outputs against field data. Drone & field data: surveys, flight planning, photogrammetry; validate methods with ground truth. Workflow development: Python geospatial workflows; QGIS, Google Earth Engine, SQL/Postgres/PostGIS; reproducible methods. Qualifications: Passion for nature and NbS technology. 3+ years GIS/remote sensing experience. Degree in GIS, Remote Sensing or related. Experience with carbon markets, NbS, ARR, agroforestry, REDD+ or MRV. Drone surveys/photogrammetry and combining drone + satellite data. Location: Bangalore / Bengaluru, India (onsite).
