GIS Software Engineer

GIS Software Engineer (m/f/d) For demanding projects in the field of modern software and geospatial information systems, we are looking for a motivated individual as a GIS Software Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will develop reusable GIS software components, integrate various map, terrain, and geospatial data sources, and contribute to the further development of a modular, high-performance software platform. Your Responsibilities Develop and maintain reusable GIS libraries and software components Process, visualize, and analyze geospatial data Integrate diverse map, terrain, and geospatial data sources into a unified software platform Develop APIs and interfaces to expose GIS functionality Integrate geospatial features into various product configurations Close collaboration with software architects and systems engineers Evaluate and integrate modern GIS technologies, data formats, and libraries Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of software components Support automated testing and continuous software optimization Contribute to building a cross-product, reusable geospatial data platform Your Profile Completed university degree in computer science, geomatics, geoinformatics, GIS, or equivalent qualifications Experience with Esri ArcGIS and geospatial data processing Solid knowledge of common geospatial standards and GIS data formats Programming experience, preferably in Java 21 Knowledge of C++ is advantageous Experience with GIS frameworks, software libraries, and APIs Strong understanding of software architecture and modular software development Experience in developing and integrating reusable software components Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work approach Enjoy working in interdisciplinary development teams Very good command of both German and English (written and spoken) We look forward to receiving your application!
