GIS Solution Architect

#### **About The Role** As a GIS Solution Architect, you will lead the design and governance of enterprise GIS platforms across on-premise and multi-cloud environments. You will define target architecture, guide platform transformation initiatives, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing GIS solutions aligned to business and program objectives. #### **Key Responsibilities** - Define and own end-to-end GIS architecture across on-premise, Azure, and AWS environments - Lead design and execution of platform upgrades and multi-cloud migration strategies - Architect spatial data integration pipelines and enterprise geodatabase frameworks - Design cloud-native GIS solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability - Provide technical leadership, including review and approval of designs and mentoring delivery teams - Engage stakeholders to present architecture solutions, manage risks, and support technical decision-making - Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, governance, and compliance requirements - Drive continuous improvements in platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency #### **Required Qualifications** - Minimum 8 years of experience with ArcGIS Enterprise in complex, multi-environment deployments - Proven expertise in architecting GIS platform upgrades and migrations across on-premise, Azure, and AWS - Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise components (Portal, Server, Data Store, Web Adaptor, Image Server, Workflow Manager) - Hands-on experience with FME for spatial data integration and ETL design - Proficiency in MS SQL and working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and AWS RDS - Proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting language for automation and integration - Experience designing secure and scalable cloud architectures on Azure and AWS #### **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience working in regulated or government-grade cloud environments - Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Insights, or ArcGIS Notebooks - Knowledge of OGC standards and REST-based GIS services - Experience in public sector, urban planning, or land management domains - Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
