GIS Solutions Engineer

We’re looking for a GIS Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and deliver innovative geospatial solutions that help organizations turn spatial data into meaningful business value. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who combines strong GIS engineering expertise with software development, system integration, and client-facing consultancy. You’ll work across Esri and open-source GIS technologies , delivering scalable solutions that support complex business and operational needs. You’ll collaborate with clients, project delivery teams, and technical stakeholders to transform requirements into reliable GIS applications, enterprise platforms, spatial databases, and interactive mapping solutions. What you’ll be driving • Design, develop, configure, and deploy enterprise GIS solutions using Esri and non-Esri technologies. • Build and support web, desktop, and mobile GIS applications, dashboards, and geoprocessing tools. • Develop and maintain spatial databases, geospatial services, APIs, and system integrations. • Perform spatial analysis, data transformation, validation, and quality assurance. • Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, asset management, and business intelligence solutions. • Lead technical implementation activities across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment and support. • Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions. • Work closely with clients through technical consultations, workshops, presentations, and training. • Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize solution performance, and contribute to continuous improvement. What we’re looking for You’re an experienced GIS professional who combines technical depth, problem-solving, and a solution-oriented mindset . What you should have: • A Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Geospatial Engineering, or a related field. • At least 5 years of relevant experience in GIS solution engineering, geospatial application development, or enterprise GIS implementation. • Hands-on experience with both Esri and open-source GIS technologies . • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and related Esri applications. • Experience with QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS, and web-mapping frameworks such as OpenLayers or Leaflet. • Proficiency in Python, ArcPy, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, and geospatial data formats. • Experience with spatial databases, GIS application development, system integration, and technical documentation. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and client consultation skills. • Professional proficiency in English; Arabic and English bilingual capability is highly preferred . • Experience in Qatar or the GCC, particularly in government, utilities, transportation, oil and gas, or smart city projects, is an advantage.
