About the Role
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a GIS & Space Data Specialist to join the Facilities Management team.
Position Summary:
The GIS & Space Data Specialist manages FAU's campus space inventory, floor plans, and facilities GIS database. This position ensures accurate tracking of building square footage, room utilization, and spatial asset data across all FAU campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain campus GIS base maps, floor plans, and utility spatial data.
Integrate CAD architectural floor plans into Esri ArcGIS Indoors / Enterprise.
Conduct space audits and verify physical room allocations.
Generate space utilization reports and dashboards for university leadership.
Support emergency management and master planning with spatial analysis and mapping.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, CAD, or related field.
3+ years of experience with ArcGIS, CAD, and space management systems.
Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Indoors, ArcGIS Pro, and BIM/CAD workflows preferred.
