GIS Specialist

Job Description As a GIS Specialist, you play a central role in developing and maintaining a high-performing GIS environment for the local municipality. You manage both the GIS software and the data/map layers as well as geospatial information, and independently plan and organize all related tasks. You report directly to the Head of the Information Cluster. You work for and with various departments within the organization. Your supervisor is the Head of the Information Cluster. You are precise and have a keen eye for detail. You communicate clearly and show attention to both internal and external customers. You are able to read and interpret (CAD) plans. You have an affinity with GIS and are willing to continuously update your skills in this field. If Dutch is not your native language, you must provide a certificate upon hiring demonstrating at least C1 level (‘effective operational proficiency’) in reading and listening, and B2 level (‘vantage’) in writing and speaking, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
