The company’s core expertise lies in transmission systems, particularly Extra High Voltage (EHV) networks up to 500 kV, with significant contributions to Pakistan’s power sector development. Supported by a panel of seasoned advisors, EnMasse has played a key role in major WAPDA projects, from planning to completion of transmission infrastructure. The firm delivers consultancy services for grid stations and transmission line projects, including construction supervision of 220 kV GIS/AIS substations and multiple 132 kV installations for public and private clients. EnMasse also has strong capabilities in environmental and social safeguard requirements, having conducted various EIA/ESA studies for high-voltage transmission lines and grid stations. **Role Description** The GIS Specialist will work full time on-site in Lahore, supporting power transmission and grid station projects through geospatial data management and analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, processing, and maintaining spatial datasets related to transmission lines, substations, and associated infrastructure. The role involves creating and updating maps, performing spatial analysis to support planning and construction supervision, and preparing GIS-based reports and visualizations for project teams and clients. The GIS Specialist will collaborate with engineers, environmental experts, and project managers to integrate GIS outputs into design, environmental studies, and social safeguard documentation. The position also includes ensuring data quality, adhering to project standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of GIS workflows and tools within the organization. #### **Qualifications** * Candidates should possess strong GIS software skills (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS or similar tools) and experience in spatial data analysis and mapping. * Candidates should possess skills in geospatial data management, including data collection, digitization, database maintenance, and metadata documentation. * Candidates should possess competencies in cartography and visualization, such as producing clear maps, layouts, and thematic layers for technical and non-technical audiences. * Candidates should possess familiarity with power transmission and grid station projects, or related infrastructure domains, and an understanding of engineering drawings and site layouts. * Candidates should possess knowledge of environmental and social impact assessment processes and the ability to support EIA/ESA studies with GIS-based analysis. * Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret spatial patterns and project requirements. * Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and present geospatial findings clearly. * Candidates should possess a relevant academic background, such as a degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Civil/Electrical Engineering or
