Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a GIS Specialist responsible for the digital capture and maintenance of utility line and infrastructure data. Our client operates and develops utility infrastructure in the fields of energy, water, and technical networks, ensuring reliable documentation and management of these systems. The company provides modern GIS and CAD workstations, diverse infrastructure projects, and attractive opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
Surveying and documenting utility lines, installations, and structures within the service area
Maintaining and updating utility line information in the GIS system
Converting survey and as-built data into digital GIS datasets
Creating and editing technical drawings using AutoCAD
Preparing location plans, utility line plans, and detailed construction drawings
Reviewing and ensuring quality of GIS, surveying, and planning data
Supporting construction projects, network modifications, and technical assessments
Collaborating with network planning, operations, project management, and external surveying firms
Qualifications
Completed vocational training as a Geomatics Technician (EFZ), Draftsperson (EFZ), or Electrical Planner (EFZ)
Experience in GIS, CAD, surveying, or utility infrastructure documentation
Proficiency in AutoCAD and digital geographic information systems (GIS)
Solid understanding of utility networks, technical drawings, and infrastructure systems
Very good written and spoken German
