Position: GIS Specialist – Permitting & Planning (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
Responsible administration, maintenance, and further development of geospatial datasets within the permitting and planning process
Ensuring data quality through quality checks, as well as preparation, harmonization, and further processing of geospatial data for planning, permitting, and construction processes
Coordination and cross-functional liaison with adjacent technical departments
Development, maintenance, and optimization of data models, geospatial structures, and databases, as well as formulation of technical specifications in close collaboration with involved departments
Creation, analysis, and visualization of georeferenced information in the form of maps, dashboards, and thematic representations for presentations, permitting procedures, and project execution
Support in standardizing geospatial requirements, processes, and workflows across multiple projects
Contribution to the digitalization and automation of geospatial processes, including integration of geospatial data into central project and information management systems
Your Profile:
Degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, or a comparable qualification
Ideally, several years of professional experience with GIS systems, with proficient use of ArcGIS Pro; additional knowledge of ArcGIS Server, QGIS, BIM systems, and FME Desktop is advantageous
Solid understanding of GIS functionalities for geospatial data acquisition, geoprocessing, spatial analysis, and visualization
Proficient in MS Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Experience with AutoCAD and Autochart for ArcGIS Pro
Proven experience in automating geospatial data processing workflows, particularly in data acquisition, quality assurance, analysis, and delivery of georeferenced data
Very good command of German and good command of English
