At NexTReT, we are growing and looking to bring on a GIS Specialist / SIG Specialist to support a strategic project focused on the management and exploitation of geospatial information.

Project Overview:
We are seeking a professional with experience in managing and processing geospatial information to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of corporate GIS platforms.
The selected candidate will participate in the discovery, processing, integration, and exploitation of geographic data, supporting the maintenance of GIS architectures and the continuous improvement of geospatial data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Locate and manage official geospatial data sources and public data repositories.
Maintain technical inventories of geographic data sources and ensure full traceability of used information.
Download, validate, and normalize geospatial data to ensure quality and integrity.
Participate in the administration and evolution of PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases.
Load and integrate geospatial data into corporate data structures.
Collaborate on ETL processes and geospatial data exchange workflows.
Execute vector and raster geoprocessing operations for validation, transformation, and data preparation.
Prepare technical reports and improvement proposals related to geospatial data management.
Analyze technical incidents and support the identification of operational solutions and improvements.

Annual gross salary of up to €39,000, depending on experience and expertise.
Annual working hours: 1,700 hours.
Working hours: Monday–Thursday: 8 hours/day; Friday: 7 hours.
Intensified schedule during July–September.

Requirements:
Mandatory:
University degree (MECES Level 2 / Bachelor’s) in one of the following fields:
- Geomatics and Surveying Engineering
- Geography with specialization in GIS
- Computer Science Engineering
- Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geointelligence, or equivalent qualifications.
2–4 years of experience in:
- Management of corporate spatial databases
- Ingestion and processing of heterogeneous geospatial data
- Design and execution of ETL and geoprocessing workflows
Solid knowledge of:
- PostgreSQL and PostGIS
- Spatial data modeling
- Spatial SQL queries
- Spatial indexing and optimization (GiST/SP-GiST)
Advanced experience with:
- QGIS
- ArcGIS Pro
- GDAL/OGR
Familiarity with Spanish Spatial Data Infrastructures (IDE):
- IGN (National Geographic Institute)
- PNOA (Aerial Orthophotography Program)
- Copernicus
- WMS, WFS, and WMTS services
- Catastro (Spanish Land Registry)
Knowledge of geospatial formats: GeoPackage, GeoJSON, Shapefile, COG, and PostGIS
Native-level Spanish proficiency
Desirable:
Experience with large-scale corporate GIS environments
Participation in projects related to geointelligence, emergency response, or territorial management
Experience in technical documentation and report writing
Strong orientation toward continuous improvement and optimization of geospatial data management processes
