GIS Team Lead

Avanceon MEA is seeking a GIS Team Lead / Senior GIS Engineer to lead the design, administration, support, and enhancement of its ESRI GIS platform across a multi-server environment. Key responsibilities include leading the GIS team, providing technical guidance to GIS engineers and analysts, reviewing GIS solution designs, administering ArcGIS Enterprise, managing GIS deployments across development and production environments, monitoring server availability and performance, maintaining ESRI software components, supporting GIS infrastructure, managing enterprise geodatabases, integrating GIS systems with enterprise platforms, publishing GIS services, supporting web GIS applications and dashboards, and implementing GIS access and security best practices. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field; minimum 7–10 years of GIS experience; strong hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise in a multi-server environment; GIS system administration and troubleshooting experience; enterprise geodatabase and spatial data management experience; Windows Server and web GIS publishing knowledge; and strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred qualifications include ESRI technical certifications, experience with ArcGIS Monitor, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, JavaScript scripting or automation, cloud or virtualization concepts, backup and disaster recovery knowledge, and experience in government, utility, infrastructure, smart city, or transport projects.
