About the Role

At Cornerstone Global Partners, we have a client who is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing geographic data and maps to support various organizational projects and decision-making processes. 🤲🏻 What we offer: Competitive salary Signed Colombian contract with Cornerstone (Vacations, Health Care, and Pension provided) Monday to Friday. 8-hour shift. Opportunity to work with a US-based company. ⚡What you'll do: Create, edit, and maintain spatial databases and GIS datasets Produce high-quality maps, charts, and other visual representations of geographic data Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks using GIS software Collect, verify, and input geographic data from various sources, including GPS devices, surveys, and remote sensing imagery Conduct quality control checks on spatial data to ensure accuracy and completeness Assist in the development and maintenance of GIS applications and web mapping services Provide technical support to staff using GIS tools and applications Generate reports and documentation for GIS projects Stay current with GIS technology trends and best practices 💡You are: Well-spoken bilingual with a B2+/C1 English level. 1-3 Years of experience working with GIS software and spatial data within the US Market. Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS software suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and georeferencing Experience with GPS data collection and processing Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of SQL and database management Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming/scripting languages Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) Experience with mobile GIS applications (Collector, Survey123, Field Maps) Understanding of cartographic principles and design Experience in the Right of Way or midstream industry. Technical Skills GIS Software: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online Data Formats: Shapefiles, geodatabases, KML, GeoJSON, CAD files GPS equipment and data collection tools Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Basic understanding of database management systems If you’re a detail-oriented GIS professional who enjoys working with spatial data, maps, and analysis to support real-world projects, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career while working remotely with a US-based team.
