About the Role
#### **DATA MIGRATION LEAD**
#### *Mission*
Plan and execute the complete migration of the HV/MV/LV power grid model from Client 's legacy systems (AUI, SIGRAF, ReteBT) towards HxGN NetWorks Utilities, in compliance with the CIM standard, through at least 3 iterative “quality loop” cycles with automatic validation and progressive correction of data quality.
#### *Main responsibilities*
* Migration setup environment (staging area) and profiling, ETL and validation tools.
* Analysis and mapping of existing data structures to the CIM compliant target model.
* Performing data profiling, data quality assessment and definition of cleaning rules.
* Development of transformation scripts, topological validation (electrical connectivity, node-branch integrity, phase coherence).
* Management of 3 iterative migration cycles with error reporting, completeness/correctness KPIs, and validation logs.
* Coordination with the customer to correct anomalies in the source systems.
* Final Production migration and cutover supported.
* End-to-end process documentation (Data Migration Report) for the Acceptance 2 milestone.
#### *Experience required*
* Minimum 8 years in data migration /data engineering roles, of which at least 4 years with a utility/energy focus.
* At least 2 complete GIS system migrations to HxGN (NetWorks Utilities or G/Technology), with datasets > 5 million geographic features.
* Direct experience in mapping towards CIM IEC 61968/61970 and topological validation of electrical networks.
* Familiarity with legacy GIS systems used in CE Europe DSOs (e.g. SIGRAF, GE Smallworld, ESRI ArcFM, Bentley Maps).
#### *Technical skills*
* ETL tooling: FME (Safe Software) - market standard tool for GIS migrations, Talend, Informatica PowerCenter, Apache NiFi, Oracle Data Integrator.
* Hexagon-specific tooling: HxGN Migration Toolkit, GeoMedia Feature Manipulation, Schema Editor, Data Validation Tools.
* Databases: Oracle 19c , Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL / PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial; advanced SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning skills.
* Standards: CIM XML import/export, IEC 61968-13 (Common Distribution Power System Model Exchange), GeoSPARQL.
* Languages: Python (pandas, geopandas, shapely, rasterio), advanced SQL, XSLT, and shell scripting.
* Data quality: tools like Trillium, Ataccama, or custom Python frameworks (Great Expectations, Soda).
* Topological validation: understanding network connectivity, basic graph theory, identifying loops/isolations, managing electrical phases.
* Understanding electrical asset data: series 1/2/3/4 nodes, busbar systems, cells, transformers, separators, branches, trunks, PODs, prosumers.
*Methodological skills and soft skills*
* Mindset, attention to detail, pattern recognition skills on complex datasets.
* Structured communication of data quality issues to client business owners.
* Automation and tooling capabilities.
#### *Languages*
* Romanian: Native speaker preferred for direct data analysis (legacy AUI/SIGRAF data is in Romanian).
* Fluent in Italian and English.
#### *Certifications*
* Safe Software FME Certified Professional - strongly preferred.
* Hexagon Migration & Data Conversion certification - preferred.
* Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate - preferred.
* CIM certifications (e.g. CIMug) - highly valued.
#### *Availability*
Intensive presence during Phase II (environment setup and data migration, 13 months), continuous support in subsequent iterations.
