About Us Applied Sciences, a Parsons company, is an engineering and consulting firm providing services in water resources, civil engineering, environmental sciences, construction management, program management, and infrastructure support. We work collaboratively with public agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders to deliver practical and sustainable solutions. Position Summary We are seeking a GIS Water Resources Analyst with 2+ years of experience supporting water resources, stormwater, environmental, or infrastructure projects through advanced GIS applications. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and analyzing geospatial data, developing mapping products, and supporting engineering teams through spatial analysis and workflow automation. This is a full-time, hybrid position that will play a key part in delivering data-driven solutions for stormwater and water resources projects across Florida. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. We are seeking Florida-based professionals with local knowledge of permitting, regulatory coordination, and project delivery practices to support our clients and projects throughout the state. Desired Duties and Responsibilities Include: Produce, reference, analyze, manage, and store GIS data. Support a team of engineers and GIS staff on projects of varying size for public and private entities. Attend meetings and assist in coordinating project tasks with the team. Assist with data management, automation, scripting, and workflow development to improve project efficiency and support stormwater modeling and water resources analyses. Conduct field work and local travel as necessary to support project needs. Education (Minimum Required) BA/BS in Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience (Minimum Required) A minimum of 2+ years in GIS-related work experience. Experience with GIS software, preferably ESRI-based applications. Experience supporting engineering, stormwater, water resources, environmental, or infrastructure projects. Other Desired Qualifications Experience with spatial and 3D analysis. Familiarity with ArcHydro tools. Experience with computer programming languages such as Python, VB, C++, or Java. Good organizational and communication skills, written and oral. Ability to work in a team environment.
