GIS/Asset Systems Specialist

The GIS/Asset Systems Specialist plays a key role in supporting Jersey Electricity's digital transformation and asset optimisation strategy. The role is responsible for developing and improving the organisation's Digital Twin capability by integrating GIS, infrastructure administration and electrical network simulation platforms. Key responsibilities: - Support development and deployment of Jersey Electricity's Digital Twin strategy and architecture. - Assist delivery and adoption of Digital Twin capabilities across the business. - Develop and maintain integration frameworks between ArcGIS, Octave EAM, PowerFactory and other business systems. - Enable exchange of asset, network and geospatial data across platforms. - Establish data standards, governance processes and harmonised asset data models. - Provide specialist expertise across GIS, asset tracking and network modelling tools. - Collaborate with Asset Coordination, Engineering, Operations, Technology and Service Delivery teams. - Support investment planning, asset lifecycle management and network resilience through improved data quality and integration. - Enable data-driven decisions through reporting, analysis and visualisation. - Monitor emerging technologies and industry-standard processes in Digital Twin, GIS and asset management. Skills and expertise: - Digital Twin concepts, architecture and implementation. - GIS, ideally ArcGIS Utility Network. - Enterprise Asset Management systems. - Power system modelling and network analysis tools, including PowerFactory. - Data architecture, systems integration and interoperability. - Master data management and data governance. - Asset management and infrastructure lifecycle management. - Data analytics, reporting and visualisation. - Experience with GIS, asset management, engineering systems or enterprise platforms. - Experience with system integration and data management in an asset-intensive environment. - Experience working with multifunctional stakeholders and digital transformation programmes. Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Asset Management or a related field. Training or certification in GIS Utility Network, Digital Twin, grid digitalisation/smart network planning, or data management/information governance is advantageous.
