GIS/Geo Program Lead

As GIS/Geo Program Lead, you will be the driving force behind GIS within Roelofs. You’ll connect colleagues, share knowledge, stimulate innovation, and ensure GIS solutions are optimally applied in projects and for clients. Moreover, you’ll look beyond GIS itself—keeping a keen eye on its integration with data, digitalization, and new technologies that contribute to a smart and sustainable living environment.
Your daily work involves actively participating in project teams while also further developing GIS within Roelofs—ensuring you stay grounded in practice and make immediate impact.
You’ll play a central role in advancing GIS at Roelofs: connecting people, data, and projects; understanding GIS’s potential and effectively communicating it to others; spotting opportunities, simplifying complex topics, and mobilizing teams.
What will you do?
Further develop Roelofs’ GIS vision.
Organize and chair the GIS working group.
Advise management and leadership on GIS, data, digitalization, and innovation.
Identify and champion new applications and innovations.
Share knowledge through presentations, workshops, and knowledge sessions.
Apply GIS within projects and support project teams.
Monitor quality, standardization, and maintenance of GIS products.
Maintain and further develop the GIS portfolio.
Who are we looking for?
HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking.
A background in civil engineering, geoinformation science, spatial development, or a related field.
Experience applying GIS in project environments.
Strong communication skills.
Organizational talent and the ability to align diverse interests.
Analytical insight and a broad perspective on processes and developments.
An affinity with innovation, data, and digitalization.
An enthusiastic and connecting personality.
