Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed
hydrographic and bathymetric surveys
of reservoirs, dams, lakes and other water bodies.
Carry out accurate
water-depth measurements and underwater topographical surveys
.
Operate and manage
DGPS/GNSS, Single Beam Echo Sounder, Multibeam Echo Sounder, Total Station
and other hydrographic survey equipment.
Prepare
bathymetric maps, depth charts, contour maps, profiles and survey drawings
.
Conduct shoreline, water-level and reservoir boundary surveys.
Collect survey data required for
floating solar plant layout, mooring and anchoring system design
.
Identify underwater obstructions, submerged structures, pipelines, rocks and other site constraints.
Process, analyze and validate raw hydrographic survey data.
Prepare detailed
survey reports and technical documentation
.
Coordinate with
Naval Architects, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers and Project Engineering teams
.
Ensure accuracy and quality of survey data and deliverables.
Maintain survey equipment, calibration records and field documentation.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable hydrographic surveying standards and project requirements.
Lead and guide junior surveyors and survey teams.
Travel extensively to
project sites across India
as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's/Diploma in
Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Hydrography, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering
or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
in Hydrographic / Bathymetric Surveying.
Strong hands-on experience in surveying
reservoirs, dams, lakes, rivers or large water bodies
.
Excellent knowledge of
DGPS/GNSS and Echo Sounder operations
.
Experience in
bathymetric data collection, processing and analysis
.
Knowledge of
AutoCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS, ArcGIS, HYPACK, SonarWiz
or equivalent software.
Strong understanding of coordinate systems, GPS positioning, benchmarks and survey calculations.
Ability to independently manage survey activities and teams.
Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites across India.
