We are looking for a
Hydrographic Surveyor
to support and execute hydrographic survey projects onboard survey and offshore vessels. You will be involved in bathymetric, geophysical, positioning, and construction support surveys, from data acquisition and processing through to QA/QC and final reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced survey and project teams, operate specialist survey equipment, and gain exposure to real-world offshore projects. Fresh graduates with a relevant degree are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hydrographic survey activities onboard survey and offshore vessels.
Plan and execute bathymetric, geophysical, positioning, and construction support surveys.Plan and execute bathymetric, geophysical, positioning, and construction support surveys.
Operate and oversee hydrographic and survey equipment during data acquisition.
Ensure accurate and reliable survey data collection in accordance with project requirements.
Process and analyse hydrographic and geophysical survey data using relevant software.
Conduct QA/QC checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data and deliverables.
Prepare daily progress reports, survey reports, and other project deliverables.
Coordinate survey activities with vessel crews, survey teams, and project stakeholders.
Support project planning, mobilisation, offshore execution, and demobilisation activities.
Maintain survey equipment and documentation while ensuring compliance with QHSSE requirements and applicable industry standards.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrographic Surveying, Geospatial Science or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant hydrographic or offshore survey experience will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of hydrographic surveying, bathymetric data acquisition, positioning, and survey principles.
Familiarity with hydrographic/geophysical survey equipment and relevant data processing software is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with vessel crews and project teams.
Willingness to work onboard survey/offshore vessels and travel as required by project needs.
A strong commitment to QHSSE requirements and safe working practices.
