About the Role
Our Argentina team is growing—we’re currently recruiting a Geomatics Specialist to join our Earth and Environment business line in the Mendoza office.
We’re looking for a Geomatics Specialist with proven experience in spatial analysis, GIS management, and environmental assessment. You’ll work at an intermediate level with ArcGIS and AutoCAD tools to effectively ingest, process, analyze, and visualize spatial data. Additional requirements include:
Knowledge and experience in web cartography, data management, and drone (UAV) operations—including pre- and post-processing, standards, and best practices.
Experience across all phases of the data-centric project lifecycle—from data capture to end-user delivery.
In this role, you’ll be heavily involved in production, with a focus on data management, mapping, and team coordination. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality GIS (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro) and CAD (AutoCAD) outputs to internal and external clients, on time and within budget.
Collaborate closely with internal and external clients to fulfill daily data requests, especially managing large datasets in ESRI environments.
Assist in designing and developing custom tools across multiple platforms to streamline daily data management processes.
Support the integration and development of geomatics standards and workflows.
Prepare reports to support environmental permitting and sector regulatory compliance.
Design and produce base and thematic maps using GIS and CAD software.
Develop and maintain spatial databases—including digitization, conversion, analysis, maintenance, and cross-platform distribution.
Conduct spatial analysis and modeling on environmental and social topics (e.g., hydrography, climate, landscape, physical risk, accessibility, population dynamics).
Respond to client service requests by defining scope, clarifying expectations, and negotiating timelines for mapping, data generation, and spatial analysis.
Develop and maintain documentation on standards, procedures, workflows, and metadata in line with project and national regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to geomatics software and hardware.
About You
Experience working in consulting or related sectors.
Degree in Natural Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent technical qualification) in GIS or a geomatics-related discipline.
Competent English proficiency.
Minimum 3 years of experience using GIS and CAD tools.
Advanced-level ArcGIS expertise.
Intermediate-level AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
Knowledge of remote sensing and software for processing satellite and multispectral imagery.
Strong understanding of CAD and GIS environments and concepts, especially ESRI ArcGIS suite and AutoCAD applications.
Bonus: Experience with SDE, relational datasets, Python, JavaScript, and data management practices.
Solid cartographic skills using ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
(Optional) Experience with drones (UAVs) and photogrammetric processing.
