We are currently looking to strengthen our team with:
IT Support Specialist (m/f/d) for 1st & 2nd Level Support – Smallworld GIS (full-time or part-time)
at our headquarters near Dortmund’s Phoenix Lake, as well as our offices in Darmstadt, Dresden, Hamburg, and Karlsruhe. Positions are available full-time or part-time (minimum 32 hours/week), fully adaptable to your individual needs.
What You’ll Do:
Provide 1st and 2nd level support for our GIS-based software solution, Smallworld GIS, ensuring seamless application operation for our customers.
Receive and process support requests via our ticketing system—resolving issues directly or forwarding them to the appropriate team members.
Assist customers in troubleshooting errors and resolving general problems related to our GIS software.
Work daily with a professional Geographic Information System (GIS).
What You Bring:
Completed university degree in (geo-)informatics, a vocational qualification, or an equivalent professional background.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is essential—practical experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g., Java or C#) is a plus (learning Smallworld’s programming language, Magik, is part of your onboarding and training at ITS).
You’re motivated to learn new technologies and embrace continuous development.
You communicate well, collaborate effectively in teams, and can also work independently and take responsibility.
