Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Surveyor role based in the Gampaha District. The Junior Surveyor will assist senior surveyors and project teams in conducting land surveys, setting out works, and gathering field data for construction projects. Daily tasks include using surveying instruments, recording measurements, preparing basic survey sketches and reports, and supporting the verification of site levels and dimensions. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and site supervisors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining accurate documentation of survey activities. The Junior Surveyor is expected to support efficient project execution by providing reliable data and contributing to timely completion of works. Qualifications B.Sc. In Surveying or Diploma, Civil Engineering, or a related field; previous internship or entry-level experience in construction or surveying is beneficial. Foundational knowledge of land surveying principles and construction site practices, including use of common surveying instruments (e.g., total station, GPS, levels). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, site plans, and basic technical documentation related to construction projects. Strong numerical, measurement, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in recording field data. Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office software; exposure to surveying or CAD software is an advantage. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively with site engineers and supervisors. Willingness to work on-site in varying field conditions, adhere to safety guidelines, and maintain professional conduct at all times.
