Lead GIS Integration Engineer

**Work Environment & Travel** **This role may require periodic on-site presence at utility facilities or operations centers during key integration milestones, data migration cutovers, or stakeholder workshops. Up to 20% travel may be expected depending on project phase.** We are seeking an experienced Lead GIS Integration Engineer to drive the technical design and delivery of our Next-Generation GIS Program. This role is central to migrating and integrating legacy Small World GIS and ESRI platform data into a modern Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), while establishing scalable, event-driven data pipelines and migration frameworks across a cloud-native AWS environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise GIS platforms, systems integration, and modern data engineering — and is comfortable leading both architectural decisions and hands-on technical delivery. * Develop Python-based ETL pipelines, spatial processing scripts, and integration connectors (GeoPandas, Shapely, ArcPy, Fiona, PyProj). * Build and maintain REST/SOAP API clients for ESRI, Small World, and ADMS interfaces. * Contribute reusable libraries and internal tooling to accelerate team delivery. #### Technical Leadership * Serve as the primary technical lead and point of escalation for the GIS integration workstream. * Mentor junior engineers and GIS analysts; conduct code reviews and uphold engineering best practices. * Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather integration requirements and define acceptance criteria. * Produce technical documentation: architecture diagrams, integration specifications, runbooks, and operational guides. * Coordinate closely with ADMS vendor teams, network operations, and enterprise architecture. #### Required Qualifications #### Experience * 8+ years of professional experience in GIS engineering, systems integration, or spatial data management. * 3+ years in a technical lead or senior individual contributor role on enterprise GIS or utility technology programs. * Demonstrated experience delivering GIS-to-ADMS or equivalent OT/IT integration projects in the utilities sector.
