The successful candidate will conduct curriculum reviews, undertake internal moderation of examinations, and assist in the overall development of the programme. Engineering& * Technology **Responsibilities** The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Teaching Geomatics-related courses under Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, as well as other departments and programmes where necessary. * Preparing lessons and training materials, delivering lectures, and conducting practical sessions for 20–24 hours per week. * Assisting the Head of Programme in the development and improvement of the programme. * Conducting tests and examinations for assessment purposes and maintaining updated academic records. * Monitoring students on industrial attachment and obtaining feedback on their progress and performance. * Supervising students’ projects and research activities. * Participating in curriculum review of Geomatics/Engineering Surveying-related application courses to ensure industry relevance and academic quality. * Participating in community engagement and consultancy activities in Geomatics and Surveying applications. * Assisting with administrative and other duties as assigned by the Head of Programme or delegated representative. * Conducting research in the field of expertise and publishing findings in professional journals, periodicals, textbooks, and electronic journals. #### **Minimum Qualifications** * Honours Degree in Geomatics, specifically covering Geodesy, Geoinformatics, and Engineering Surveying (Honours degree or higher). * Undergraduate Degree in Geomatics (BSc/BEng in Geomatics or a related field). #### **Experience And Other Requirements** * At least two (2) years of professional working experience in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field. * Two (2) years of teaching or research experience in Geomatics or Engineering Surveying will be an added advantage. **Candidates Should Also Have Experience In** * Civil Designer (or equivalent) * Revit * GIS (Geospatial) * AutoCAD (Draughting) * Other related spatial design and analysis software **Candidates Should Be Able To Teach** * Engineering Surveying * Topographic Surveying * GPS/GNSS and Drone Surveying * GIS and Remote Sensing * Irrigation and Drainage Infrastructure Layout #### Skills and Attributes * Self-motivated. * Ability to work with minimum supervision. * Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. * Willingness to supervise students during extra-mural activities. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical and organisational skills. #### To Apply Interested and suitably qualified candidates should apply by email to**:** [email protected] **– all application documents should be in one zipped folder and indicate the position name: LECTURER-GEOMATICS in the email subject line failure to adhere will lead to non-consideration of applications.** The application letters should be accompanied by: Curriculum Vitae, certified copies of educational certificates and academic transcripts.
