We leverage our staff and department expertise across four programmatic areas: * Public Health Emergency Management * Disease Prevention and Monitoring * Laboratory Systems & Diagnostics * Climate Adaptation in Health, Food Security & Nutrition In each of these programmatic areas, we partner with governments, communities, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to generate holistic solutions because we believe that every community deserves access to tools that can enable them to lead healthier lives. #### **Location:** Abuja **Purpose of the Position** The GIS and Data Management Unit at eHealth Africa plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission to improve health outcomes across Africa through geospatial intelligence and integrated data systems. The team designs and deploys predictive models, interactive dashboards, and scalable data pipelines that support critical public health functions, including disease surveillance, immunization planning, emergency response, and health service delivery. By championing data standardization, fostering interoperability with key partners such as WHO NPHCDA, and NCDC, and building local technical capacity, the department ensures eHA’s interventions are evidence-based, responsive, and impactful. The Manager, Data/GIS Analytics leads the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide data systems and geospatial analytics capabilities. The role provides strategic oversight of the full data lifecycle, including collection, integration, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting. Working at the intersection of technology, public health, and program delivery, the Manager ensures that data-driven insights are used to optimize interventions, anticipate risks, and support evidence-based decision-making. **What you’ll do** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned: * Lead the development and execution of a unified data and GIS analytics strategy that supports organizational goals and programmatic impact. * Oversee the design and management of data architectures, governance frameworks, and integration pipelines to ensure scalability and interoperability. * Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and ethical use of organizational data assets, in compliance with global standards and donor requirements. * Develop and apply advanced analytics and geospatial models to support health campaigns, demographic planning, climate adaptation, and food security initiatives. * Promote continuous improvement by monitoring data quality, implementing standards, and adopting innovative methodologies across analytics functions. * Serve as the organization’s technical advisor on data and GIS analytics, guiding strategic decisions and ensuring alignment with international best practices. * Collaborate with internal teams—including programs, research, technology, and operations—to embed data-driven approaches throughout project lifecycles. * Partner with donors, government agencies, and international organizations to deliver credible, evidence-based outputs and strengthen institutional visibility. * Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data analysts, engineers, and GIS specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. * Represent eHealth Africa in technical working groups, conferences, and sectoral partnerships focused on data, analytics, and geospatial innovation. * Engage external consultants, academic institutions, and industry experts to scale innovations and expand organizational analytics capabilities. * Ensure timely production of dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports that inform strategic and operational decision-making. * Oversee the integration of diverse data sources—including IoT, health, demographic, and geospatial datasets—into unified analytical platforms. * Deliver domain-specific modeling use cases, including disease forecasting, spatial population planning, climate risk modeling, and food security analysis. * Facilitate capacity-building initiatives to strengthen data literacy, analytical proficiency, and evidence-based decision-making across the organization. **Who you are:** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job. * Strategic Data Visionary – Skilled in shaping the strategic direc
