Title: Marine Biodiversity Environmental Engineer (GIS)
Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of Grupo Tragsa, is seeking to recruit a professional to support marine biodiversity activities in the Community of Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical reports, managing and analyzing spatial data using GIS, and contributing to marine conservation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare technical reports and documentation on marine biodiversity.
Manage, process, and analyze geospatial data using GIS tools.
Support field and desk-based assessments related to marine species and habitats.
Contribute to conservation planning and environmental impact assessments.
Requirements:
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Biology, Marine Sciences, or related field.
Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial analysis.
Experience in preparing technical reports on marine species/habitats conservation status is highly valued.
Willingness and availability for travel and on-site work in Madrid.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with marine biodiversity monitoring or conservation projects.
Knowledge of EU nature directives (e.g., Habitats Directive, Marine Strategy Framework Directive).
Familiarity with Spanish and European marine conservation frameworks.
