We have an opportunity for a Principal Geospatial Consultant to join our Edinburgh team. This position will lead the delivery of spatial data solutions, GIS strategy, and digital environmental assessments across Scotland and the wider UK. Key Duties: Geospatial Strategy: Develop digital spatial strategies for major renewable energy (offshore wind, solar, hydrogen) and environmental infrastructure projects. Enterprise Web GIS: Design and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise and Cloud GIS solutions for multi-consultancy project teams. Spatial Data Governance: Lead data management standards, metadata compliance, and Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) principles. Business Growth: Support bid writing, client presentations, and fee proposals for geospatial services. Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of GIS Consultants and Analysts across Scottish offices. Required Experience: Significant experience in senior geospatial roles within environmental or engineering consultancies. Expert knowledge of the Esri product suite (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, AGOL, Experience Builder). Strong understanding of UK planning, EIA procedures, and environmental spatial datasets. Scripting and automation skills in Python, FME, or SQL. Degree in GIS, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or related subject. Chartered Geographer status (CGeog) or working towards it.
