About the Role
At Energinet, geographic data and digital mapping solutions are essential to developing and operating Denmark’s energy infrastructure. As Product Owner for the GIS platform and applications, you will help shape strategy, align stakeholders, and deliver high-impact digital solutions that support our national energy mission.
You’ll join the Location Intelligence team, responsible for the operation and development of Energinet’s GIS platform and applications. The team works closely with users and stakeholders across the entire organization.
"You’ll become part of a strong team with high professional standards and excellent collaboration. Our digital GIS solutions are vital to solving tasks across Energinet, so your and the team’s work will be highly valued and visible," says Andreas Qvitzau, Chief Product Owner.
As Product Owner, you’ll serve as the bridge between the business, the development team, and other stakeholders—ensuring shared direction, transparency, and clear expectations. You’ll also ensure that team specialists are actively involved in relevant business dialogues.
You’ll be part of the team’s leadership triad, alongside the Agile People Leader and Scrum Master, with shared responsibility for team well-being, personnel, product, and delivery—jointly prioritizing focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate a clear product vision, aligning stakeholders, team, and leadership around common goals
Own, prioritize, and visualize the roadmap and backlog with a strong focus on value creation
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and conduct transparent prioritization across business areas
Ensure clear expectation management and continuous follow-up on deliveries, results, and progress
Track value realization in close cooperation with the business and translate learnings into new priorities
Success Criteria (After One Year)
You’ve built sufficient domain knowledge to clearly explain why we prioritize as we do
You’ve established a dynamic roadmap and backlog aligned with key stakeholders
You and your team consistently deliver according to the roadmap and document the impact of new features and improvements
You and your team maintain stable operations through a focus on maintenance and optimization
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong collaboration skills. You likely have:
Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role
Proven ability to translate business needs into concrete deliverables
Experience with roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and value realization
Strong communication skills across business, leadership, and technical specialists
While GIS expertise is not required, it’s a plus if you feel comfortable engaging in technical discussions about platform and application development. What matters most is your strength as a Product Owner in product leadership, prioritization, stakeholder management, and value creation within complex stakeholder landscapes.
So—can you set direction, bring stakeholders together, and turn needs into effective digital solutions? If yes, we’d be delighted to receive your application.
