About the Role
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is recruiting a Programme Data and Geospatial Analyst to support emergency agricultural response and damage assessment in Ukraine.
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform satellite imagery analysis and Remote Sensing to monitor agricultural land damage and mine contamination;
Develop spatial datasets, vulnerability maps, and agricultural monitoring dashboards;
Manage spatial databases for agricultural assistance distribution;
Collaborate with UN agencies and humanitarian partners on spatial data sharing.
Requirements:
University degree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Agronomy, or related field;
Minimum 3 years experience applying GIS and Remote Sensing in emergency or agricultural projects;
Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and Python;
Fluency in Ukrainian and working knowledge of English.
