About the Role
About the Role
As part of a motivated team of surveying professionals, you will safeguard and continuously enhance the quality of official surveying in the Canton of Bern. You will take responsibility for exciting development projects and collaborate closely with municipalities, cadastral updating offices, and federal authorities. You will also actively foster cooperation with other government offices and the private sector.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct periodic audits of cadastral updating offices and further develop ongoing quality assurance processes
Support municipalities and updating offices in the demarcation of areas affected by permanent ground movements, including long-term monitoring
Participate in the transition of official surveying to the new DMAV data model
Assist municipalities in correctly awarding surveying contracts
Ensure the maintenance and further development of the cantonal horizontal and vertical reference framework
Your Profile
Degree in Geomatics Engineering (ETH/FH) or equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in official surveying as well as GIS/geoinformatics
Interest in legal and administrative issues related to official surveying, and enthusiasm for new technologies and innovations in geomatics
Excellent German (C2); French (B1) is desirable
