As our Property GIS & Spatial Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how spatial data is used across the business.\nThis is a unique opportunity to build and shape Tesco Property's GIS capability from the ground up. You'll define the GIS strategy, develop innovative spatial tools and solutions, and empower colleagues to harness the power of location intelligence in their everyday decision making.\nWe're looking for someone who is equally comfortable developing GIS applications and spatial models as they are influencing stakeholders and coaching others. You'll be the subject matter expert for GIS across Property, bringing together technical excellence, strategic thinking and a passion for enabling others.\nYou will be responsible for\nDefining and delivering the GIS strategy for Tesco Property, ensuring it supports current and future business needs.\nDesigning, building and configuring GIS tools, applications and spatial solutions, with a particular focus on supporting Location Planning and property decision making.\nCreating mapping applications, dashboards, spatial models, workflows and data products that unlock actionable insights.\nActing as a hands-on GIS practitioner, undertaking spatial analysis, developing new data layers and producing high-quality outputs where required.\nEstablishing scalable GIS products, templates and reusable solutions that can be adopted consistently across multiple teams.\nDeveloping and embedding a self-service GIS approach, enabling colleagues across Property to confidently use spatial tools and data.\nCoaching and upskilling colleagues to build their own analyses and make better use of spatial intelligence.\nDefining GIS standards, governance and best practices to ensure consistency, quality and reliability across the function.\nOwning and evolving the ArcGIS Enterprise environment, driving continuous improvement, performance and adoption.\nDemonstrating the art of the possible through hands-on delivery and visible impact.\nShaping the future GIS capability, identifying opportunities to scale, evolve the operating model and introduce new skills and capabilities over time.\nYou will need\nSignificant experience designing, developing and implementing GIS solutions in a business environment.\nStrong hands-on experience with Esri technologies, particularly ArcGIS Enterprise, including solution design, configuration and development.\nExperience building GIS products, applications, dashboards, workflows and spatial analyses from concept through to deployment.\nA track record of establishing, scaling or transforming GIS or location intelligence capabilities within an organisation.\nExperience coaching, mentoring or enabling others to use data, analytics or GIS tools effectively.\nThe ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical GIS solutions.\nExperience creating standards, governance frameworks and best practices for GIS development and usage.\nA problem-solving mindset and the confidence to work autonomously within a standalone specialist role.\nWhats in it for you?\nWe’re all about the little helps.
