Senior Data Scientist

The Role Transform complex spatial data into actionable insights for product and business decisions Manage the full geospatial data pipeline from ingestion and processing to analysis and visualization Develop and maintain spatial data models and apply machine learning techniques to spatial problems Create compelling visualizations and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed spatial intelligence into the platform Ensure high geospatial data quality, coverage, and accuracy What You'll Need 3-6 years of experience in data science, GIS, or a related field Strong proficiency in Python for geospatial data analysis (GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, Rasterio) Deep experience with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for spatial querying and data management Familiarity with geospatial standards and formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile, GeoTIFF, WKT, WKB) Experience with GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS Solid understanding of coordinate reference systems, projections, and spatial indexing Ability to communicate findings clearly in a remote, asynchronous environment What's On Offer Opportunity to work across the full geospatial data pipeline Fully remote and asynchronous work environment Collaborate with innovative engineering and product teams Contribute to spatial data infrastructure and cloud-native geospatial workflows Apply via Haystack today!
