City of Tempe is hiring a Senior Developer / Programmer (GIS Emphasis), RC# 902492, for the Center for Integrated Data Innovation. Role focus: Serve as a core architect modernizing how Tempe stores, connects, and uses municipal data in the cloud Bridge traditional enterprise GIS with modern data engineering and cloud infrastructure Design performant data pipelines and optimize growth of the city’s enterprise GIS Engineer integrations that power data-driven decisions across the City Geospatial & Enterprise Architecture: Subject matter expert across the Esri stack (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, APIs, SDKs) Optimize enterprise geodatabases, enforce spatial data models, and build high-performance spatial apps and BI dashboards Requirements (from posting): Proven experience administering enterprise geodatabases and configuring/supporting ArcGIS Enterprise/Online Extending capabilities via Esri APIs/SDKs 3+ years writing clean, modular Python for data-intensive applications Deep experience designing and managing relational databases with a focus on spatial data Cloud / AWS and pipeline engineering experience preferred Compensation & location: Salary range: USD $89,600–$132,100 100% remote, but must reside within Arizona and be available for occasional office visits Apply: https://apply.tempe.gov and search for RC# 902492.
