Senior GIS Developer About NTT DATA NTT DATA is looking for a Senior GIS Developer to join a strategic telecommunications programme in Belgium focused on the evolution of a business-critical GIS platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex GIS functionality and supporting the transition from HFC to FTTH network infrastructure. Location: Brussels (On-site preferred) Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Initial 24-month assignment Key Responsibilities Design & Development Produce High-Quality Low-Level Designs (LLDs). Develop new GIS functionalities and platform enhancements. Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frontend components. Participate in HLD reviews and technical solution discussions. Update technical documentation and engineering models. Contribute to code refactoring and continuous improvement. Quality & Delivery Conduct peer code reviews. Perform unit testing. Support defect analysis and resolution. Provide development effort estimates. Apply branching strategies and manage merge requests. Participate in deployment activities and DevOps processes. Contribute to sprint planning and Agile ceremonies. Collaboration Work closely with Technical Leads, Product Owners, Architects and Testers. Represent the development team in project discussions. Support troubleshooting and production issue resolution. Contribute to technical best practices and coding standards. Required Experience Strong GIS / Geospatial development experience. Mandatory Telecommunications experience. Experience working on network inventory, network planning, FTTH, HFC, OSS or infrastructure systems. Experience developing enterprise applications. Strong understanding of software design and development lifecycle. Experience working in Agile teams. Technical Skills RShiny JavaScript GeoServer Oracle Docker REST APIs Open Source GIS technologies Preferred: Java Spring Boot PostgreSQL/PostGIS Leaflet Languages Fluent French and English (mandatory)
