About the Role
Job Functions and Responsibilities
Perform GIS-based spatial intersections between the official IGAC digital cadastral map and project geometric design layouts; identify, delimit, and report required land parcels for project execution.
Convert, standardize, and georeference topographic surveys, coordinate points, and DWG files; integrate this data into GDB formats according to the project’s defined spatial reference system.
Incorporate approved, pending, surplus, and residual land areas into the land parcel strip and parcel status dashboard (‘semáforo predial’); update geographic databases and verify alignment with technical and cadastral information.
Produce graphical outputs, plans, and maps; provide setting-out coordinates and IGAC tie-point coordinates in accordance with activity schedules.
Review, validate, and update technical inputs and the master land parcel database; ensure consistency among alphanumeric, cartographic, and documentary data; report identified inconsistencies and track corrective actions.
Prepare, review, and consolidate reports, plans, cartographic bases, and technical annexes; verify deliverables meet requirements of relevant authorities and monitor timely submission.
Participate in meetings and working groups; prepare and present requested cartographic information; address technical comments and commitments arising from these sessions.
Apply established procedures, formats, controls, and policies; maintain organized and up-to-date activity records and evidence; participate in training, audits, and improvement initiatives as required.
Required Profile and Competencies
Degree in Cadastral Engineering and Geodesy, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, Geographic Engineering, Geomatics, Architecture, or related fields; preference for specialization in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a GIS Specialist.
Proficiency in GIS software.
Working knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Civil 3D.
