Senior GIS Software Architect

Company: Leonardo Senior GIS Software Architect – Rome Laurentina & Florence Campi Bisenzio, Italy Leonardo SpA, within the Cyber & Security Solutions area, is seeking a Software Architect to join teams in Rome Laurentina and Florence Campi Bisenzio. Key Responsibilities: Analyze functional and technical requirements for geospatial data systems Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures Develop and integrate microservices for geo-spatial data processing and visualization Lead technical design and implementation using modern DevOps practices Ideal Candidate Profile: Minimum 5 years of experience in requirements gathering and architectural design for Command & Control (C2) systems, preferably in defense, security, or aerospace domains Proven expertise with GIS platforms, especially ESRI and GeoServer Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and Angular Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and RESTful APIs Offer: Permanent contract (contratto indeterminato) Hybrid work model (on-site and remote) Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, mission-critical systems in a dynamic, international environment
