What's involved: Assess and enhance the organisation's GIS data landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement Design, develop, and support enterprise GIS solutions and geospatial applications Develop advanced spatial analysis capabilities to support business and operational decision-making Deliver mapping and visualisation solutions using modern GIS technologies Integrate, maintain, and optimise GIS data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and system integrations Manage GIS data quality, preparation, governance, and lifecycle management Provide technical advisory and oversight across GIS projects and strategic initiatives Integrate GIS platforms with business systems, APIs, cloud services, and external data sources Ensure GIS environments comply with security, risk, and governance requirements Produce technical documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders What you need: Strong commercial experience delivering Enterprise GIS solutions and geospatial applications Extensive knowledge of GIS principles, platforms, and technologies Proven experience with spatial data management, geospatial analysis, cartography, and location intelligence Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise business systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and external data sources Strong experience developing, automating, and optimising GIS data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes Experience working with enterprise database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostGIS, or MySQL Experience assessing GIS capability and developing GIS strategies within enterprise environments Experience working within public sector or regulated environments is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience producing governance, technical, and programme documentation Relevant GIS, ESRI, Cloud, Database, or Data Governance certifications are advantageous What's on offer: Competitive daily rate depending on experience Hybrid working model (1 day onsite per week in Meath / 4 days remote) 12-month initial contract Immediate start available Opportunity to play a key role in developing and modernising enterprise GIS capabilities for a major public sector organisation Apply Now If you would like to discuss this opportunity in person or with one of our IT Resourcers, please forward your CV to Vantage Resources or contact Anthony Harlukowicz on +353 1 295 2850 - Ext. 1049 or [email protected] for a confidential discussion.
