Software Engineer GIS

Roles & Responsibilities 1. Understanding business requirements of clients 2. Create workflows with data engineers and automate repetitive GIS processes 3. Produce accurate maps by merging drone images with existing geospatial data 4. Ensure data accuracy by going out in the field to resolve conflicts 5. Create 3D models 6. Manage databases involving [vector and raster data](https://gisgeography.com/spatial-data-types-vector-raster/) 7. Prepare reports, document all recommendations and solutions and maintain knowledge of all client requirements for business applications. Qualifications 1. Degree in Computer Science or Data Science (specialization in Geospatial technologies or Computer Vision a plus), Geology, Environmental Studies or any equivalent Engineering degree. 2. Experience working with mapping tools like ArcGIS, QGIS and Pix4D 3. Experience working with satellite imagery 4. Excellent working attitude, problem solving and communication skills 5. Proficiency in automating GIS processes through model builders or python coding.
