Sr. Manager Remote Sensing & GIS

Important Skills: Strong expertise in processing, analyzing, and interpreting satellite imagery from Optical, Multispectral, Hyperspectral, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors for agriculture, forestry, water resources, disaster management, and environmental monitoring. Hands-on experience in crop classification, crop acreage estimation, crop health monitoring, crop phenology analysis, yield estimation, and agricultural intelligence using multi-source satellite data and field observations. Proficient in Python and R for geospatial analytics, remote sensing workflows, AI/ML model development, data preprocessing, automation, visualization, and large-scale geospatial data processing. Practical experience applying Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques, including Random Forest, XGBoost, CatBoost, Support Vector Machines (SVM), CNNs, and other AI models for remote sensing and geospatial applications. Extensive experience in managing large-scale government, institutional, and enterprise geospatial projects, including PMFBY, YES-TECH, MNCFC, agricultural monitoring, crop insurance, and satellite-based decision-support initiatives. Strong capability in preparing technical proposals, RFP responses, project methodologies, work plans, cost estimations, technical reports, presentations, and client communications for government and private sector organizations. Proven leadership in building, mentoring, and managing multidisciplinary GIS & Remote Sensing teams while ensuring project quality, timely delivery, resource optimization, and stakeholder satisfaction. Extensive experience in remote sensing operations, including acquisition, preprocessing, analysis, validation, interpretation, and reporting of Optical, Multispectral, Hyperspectral, Thermal, and SAR satellite data, converting complex geospatial information into actionable insights, thematic maps, dashboards, and client-ready technical reports for strategic decision-making.
