What You Will Do: Support the GKV-Spitzenverband in implementing a cross-departmental Geographic Information System (GIS) and assist departments in identifying, analyzing, and documenting requirements. Research and evaluate technical solution approaches, and contribute to developing concepts, documentation, and decision-making materials. Prepare geospatial data, statistical indicators, and other domain-specific data for analysis and visualization. Assist in conducting spatial analyses and help develop, test, and pilot GIS use cases for application within the statutory health insurance sector. You will be employed part-time (14.82 hours/week, i.e., 38% of a standard 39-hour weekly working time) for a fixed term of two years. Your workplace is centrally located in Berlin with excellent public transport connections, at a modern, tariff-bound association. What We Offer: Flexible working hours and partial remote work (up to 50%) Attractive remuneration according to our internal collective agreement (13 monthly salaries) 30 vacation days per calendar year (pro-rated based on weekly working hours); non-working days on 24 December and 31 December Subsidy for a public transport subscription Opportunity to participate in individual further training and development programs Subsidy for an Urban Sports Club membership and other individual employee benefits What We Expect: Enrolled student at a state-recognized university Advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s studies, preferably in Geoinformatics, Geography, Geomatics, Regional Planning, or a related field Prior experience in analyzing, processing, visualizing, and interpreting data Practical experience with GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, or comparable tools) and foundational knowledge of databases, SQL, Python, or similar data processing tools Strong analytical thinking and enthusiasm for structuring complex topics Ideally, basic knowledge of the structure of the German healthcare system and interest in regional healthcare provision and its data-driven analysis Structured and independent work style, organizational skills, teamwork orientation, and solid written and spoken German language skills Application: We look forward to receiving your application!
