We are looking for a Supervisor, Geospatial to lead our electric and natural gas geospatial operations team in Edmonton. This leadership role oversees spatial data management, GIS software administration, GIS drafting standards, and spatial analytics across ATCO Utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Supervise, coach, and manage a team of geospatial specialists, GIS analysts, and mapping technicians.
Geospatial Operations: Direct daily spatial data updates, utility asset mapping, and spatial quality control processes.
Technology Modernization: Lead ATCO's migration to Esri Utility Network and cloud-based spatial analytics platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with engineering, operations, and IT leads to deliver location-based solutions and field tools.
Resource Planning: Manage team workload, project priorities, operating budgets, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, or related field.
5+ years experience in geospatial / GIS operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
Strong technical knowledge of utility GIS data models (Esri Utility Network, ArcGIS Enterprise).
Proven leadership, team building, and change management skills.
