Survey Assistant Fort St. John, British Columbia (Onsite / Field) Full-Time / Permanent | Competitive Hourly Rate + Overtime McElhanney Ltd. is an employee-owned Canadian consulting firm offering engineering, surveying, GIS, remote sensing, and environmental services across Western Canada. We are hiring a Survey Assistant to join our Fort St. John branch. You will assist professional land surveyors on legal, construction, pipeline, and topographic field surveys across Northern BC. Key Responsibilities: Field Operations: Assist the Party Chief with setting up total stations, GNSS RTK receivers, digital levels, and LiDAR equipment. Data Logging: Measure and record field survey notes, line clearances, and monument descriptions. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate survey instruments, vehicles, and safety gear. Requirements: High school diploma; coursework in Geomatics, Surveying, or Civil Engineering is an asset. Physical ability to work outdoors in rugged terrain and winter conditions. Valid Driver's License (Class 5). First Aid and CSTS/H2S Alive tickets preferred (training provided). Apply online via McElhanney Careers.
