About The Team In Sweden
In the Southwest region of Sweden, we are a team of experienced surveying engineers working with geodetic data, point clouds, and design models in infrastructure projects.
Our projects are characterized by high technical demands on accuracy, structure, and usability in downstream design processes.
Job Description
As a Surveying and Point Cloud Processing Engineer within AFRY Design Center, you will work in close collaboration with our surveying teams in Sweden. You will be part of an international delivery organization, contributing to infrastructure and urban development projects.
Our Swedish operations include a wide range of surveying assignments – from data acquisition to processing and delivery of design-ready models.
Responsibility
Process point cloud data (LAS/E57) into structured CAD drawings
Create terrain models (DTM) and breaklines
Model infrastructure objects
Prepare deliverables in DWG and LandXML
Perform quality control and self-checks
Highlight uncertainties and missing data
Collaborate with Swedish teams
Improve workflows and standards
Qualifications
Qualifications – Required
Degree in Geomatics, Surveying or Civil Engineering
3–5 years experience
AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience
Point cloud data handling (LAS/E57)
Understanding of infrastructure mapping
Good English
Qualifications – Merits
Infrastructure project experience
Familiarity with Swedish standards
Experience with TBC, Cyclone or CloudCompare
International delivery experience
BIM/CAD workflow understanding
