Técnico/a GIS Developer

Grupo Tecopy is hiring a Técnico/a GIS Developer for its Sistemas team. The role focuses on transforming geospatial data into useful solutions, automating processes, and developing tools for territorial and environmental information. Key responsibilities: - Design and develop geospatial solutions for large volumes of territorial and environmental data. - Build tools and applications for processing geographic information. - Automate capture, transformation, and use of spatial data with Python. - Design and maintain GIS ETL workflows for multiple geographic data sources. - Work on projects related to Smart Cities, mobility, infrastructure, environment, and Earth observation. - Integrate GIS services, spatial databases, and corporate platforms. - Develop scripts and processes to improve GIS data quality, efficiency, and scalability. - Collaborate with engineering, data analytics, software development, and GIS teams. Requirements: - Relevant technical education is valued, including geomatics, surveying, computer engineering, telecommunications, geography, environmental sciences, mathematics, physics, or related fields. - At least 2 years of experience in GIS solution development, Python automation, ETL processes, data management, and geospatial information processing. - Experience with Python, geospatial libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL or similar, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, APIs and geospatial services, ArcGIS or QGIS, and Git. Additional valued experience includes web GIS application development, Docker, cloud environments, ArcGIS APIs, OpenLayers, Leaflet, and agile development methods.
