Business Analyst – GIS/Esri Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid) Full-Time / Permanent CGI is one of the largest IT and business consulting firms in the world. We are looking for a Business Analyst specializing in GIS and Esri platforms to join our Federal Public Sector practice in Ottawa. You will work closely with Canadian federal government departments to gather business requirements, design GIS architecture solutions, and oversee enterprise Esri deployments. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Facilitate workshops with government stakeholders to define business, spatial, and technical requirements. GIS Solution Design: Translate business needs into Esri architecture designs (ArcGIS Enterprise, AGOL, Portal, Utility Network). Data & Process Modeling: Document spatial workflows, data models, and API integration specifications. Testing & QA: Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate spatial data models against government standards. Project Advisory: Support CGI project managers with scope definition, risk logs, and sprint planning in Agile environments. Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on GIS / spatial projects. Deep functional knowledge of the Esri technology platform. Experience working within Canadian Federal Government or public sector clients.
