Job Description
Texas A&M Forest Service is hiring a Geospatial Analyst II to support wildfire response and natural resource management through GIS, geospatial analysis, data solutions, and workflow automation.
Responsibilities:
Perform GIS and geospatial analysis.
Process and analyze spatial datasets.
Develop data-driven solutions and automate workflows.
Create reports, visualizations, and geospatial products.
Support wildfire response and agency projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
4+ years of geospatial/statistical analysis experience.
Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, Python, MS Office, and remote sensing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred: R, Google Earth Engine, Power BI, LiDAR, machine learning, and wildfire/forestry experience.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, spatial sciences, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. A graduate degree in a related field is preferred. Required skills include data analysis, environmental geospatial modeling, remote sensing and/or spatial statistics, MS Office, ArcGIS Pro, Python, remote sensing software, and relational database concepts.
