Company: Accenture DACH
Your Mission
As a GIS and Geospatial Data Management Consultant (all genders), you will support our clients in digitally transforming large-scale infrastructure and capital projects. Your focus will be on designing and evolving GIS solutions, migrating and harmonizing geospatial data, and integrating diverse systems and data sources.
What You’ll Do
Develop modern GIS solutions for infrastructure projects: Design and build GIS-based solutions, web applications, dashboards, and reporting tools using Esri technologies. Analyze existing GIS processes and enhance them for scalability, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Transform complex geospatial data landscapes: Lead GIS transformation and migration projects—for example, from QGIS to Esri environments—ensuring data cleaning, quality assurance, harmonization, and effective use of complex geospatial data models, metadata, and large datasets.
Connect data, systems, and processes: Design integration between GIS and other project or enterprise systems, ensuring interoperability across data sources. Use tools like FME, SQL, and Python to automate workflows, support data migrations, and streamline operations.
What We’re Looking For
Completed degree in Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in complex GIS transformation, migration, or digitalization projects, preferably in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors (e.g., utility line or cable projects).
Strong proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS, with hands-on experience in GIS data migration, cleaning, quality control, harmonization, and metadata management.
Practical experience with FME, SQL, and/or Python, as well as developing GIS web apps, dashboards, or reporting solutions—and familiarity with system integration and large-scale geospatial data.
Excellent German and English skills, with strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
What We Offer
Flexible working model: mobile work, self-managed overtime account, and flexible working hours.
Extensive training opportunities on cutting-edge technologies and soft skills to stay current.
Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with regular team-building events.
