Your Role
As a GIS Data Specialist, you will serve as the Data Steward within the Infrastructure department. You are responsible for the quality, reliability, and availability of our geospatial information—with a strong focus on data quality, process improvement, and automation. Your responsibilities include:
Optimizing quality checks, analyses, and reporting on geospatial data;
Developing and managing automated workflows, quality checks, and reporting using databases, Python, AI tools, and FME where applicable;
Identifying opportunities for process automation and translating them into sustainable solutions;
Conducting acceptance tests and initiating data improvements;
Representing the GIS domain within projects and across the organization;
Supporting colleagues and management with geospatial information, dashboards, and reports.

A maximum gross monthly salary of €5,228 (based on a 40-hour workweek), depending on knowledge and experience. With holiday allowance and secondary employment benefits, your total compensation can reach €6,037 gross per month;

Who You Are
You have experience in a role such as GIS Data Specialist, GIS Data Steward, GIS Data Engineer, GIS Information Specialist, Geo Data Consultant, or a similar GIS/geospatial information role. You are analytically strong, work carefully, and draw energy from improving data quality, processes, and geospatial data flows. Additionally, you meet the following criteria:
HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
Proficiency in Dutch;
Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Python, and SQL (FME is a plus);
Experience developing automated scripts, workflows, or data-driven solutions.
